Efforts to dredge Saquatucket Harbor channel, and other small harbor projects, by the US Army Corps have been thwarted for ten years as monies have been diverted toward the needs of financing the War in Iraq. Further, the Town has reinvented its permit to allow full dredging in this important channel and place re locate material as beach nourishment using the County Dredge.
